Comparative ve Superlative Nedir?
- Comparative (Karşılaştırmalı): İki şeyi karşılaştırırken kullanılır.
Örnek:This book is cheaper than that one. - Superlative (Üstünlük Bildiren):Üç veya daha fazla şey arasında en üstün olanı belirtir.
Örnek:This is the cheapest book in the store.
Comparative Yapılar Nasıl Kurulur?

Not: “Than” kelimesi karşılaştırılan ikinci öğeyi belirtmek için mutlaka kullanılır.

En Sık Yapılan Hatalar
“More” ve “-er” aynı anda kullanmak
Yanlış: more taller than me
Doğru: taller than me
“The” kullanmayı unutmak
Yanlış: She is smartest girl in class.
Doğru: She is the smartest girl in the class.
“Than” yerine “then” kullanmak
Yanlış: This one is better then that one.
Doğru: This one is better than that one.
Sıfatların doğru formunu bilmemek
Yanlış: more good than
Doğru: better than (good → better → the best)
Superlative kullanırken karşılaştırılan grubun belirtilmemesi
Yanlış: He is the tallest.
Daha iyi: He is the tallest student in the school.
Düzensiz (Irregular) Sıfatlar
Bazı sıfatlar ne “-er” ne de “more” alır. Onlar özel yapılardır:

Comparative & Superlative İçin Kullanışlı İpuçları
- Karşılaştırma yaparken her zaman “than” kullanmayı unutma.
- Superlative yapıda “the” belirtecini eklemeyi ihmal etme.
- Sıfatın hece sayısını bilmek, doğru yapıyı kurmak için önemlidir.
- Belirli kalıplar ezberlenmeli: better than, the best, more interesting than, the most interesting vb.
